What are Cookies in Computers
Cookies, browser cookies and tracking cookies are small (often encrypted) text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit and are located in your browser directories.
Cookies are created when a user’s browser loads a particular website; this website sends information to the browser which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website's server.
They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. For more information on cookies, please visit: http://www.allaboutcookies.org
