Our philosophy
At the OTL Group we have some simple yet powerful values that we want to ensure is in every product we produce:
-
All of our products must be as environmentally friendly as possible.
-
Our products must be as effective as traditional chemicals, yet must be safe for both the user and the environment.
-
Our products must be tested and accredited to the highest possible International Standards
-
Being ‘green’ shouldn’t end with our products – it’s our way of life!
Our products
We do our very best to ensure our products:
-
Are made from biological and biodegradable materials, wherever possible.
-
Are not deemed to be hazardous to the environment.
-
Do not use raw materials listed on the UK’s Health & Safety Executive EH40 (a list of chemicals which people should have limited exposure to).
Our building
In 2008 the OTL Group moved into its purpose-built manufacturing base and we worked hard to ensure that our new premises would be as environmentally friendly as possible:
-
We use a purpose-built wood-pellet Biomass boiler, which heats all of our offices, water and some warehouse areas.
-
We use sustainable wood pellets from a source that is only 3 miles away from our factory.
-
We use energy efficient lighting.
-
We used the latest Thermal Insulation, Heating & Air Tightness technology to ensure that we would be below the EU Building Emission Rate (2008).

In 2012 we were accredited to ISO 14001:2015. This standard applies to those environmental aspects of our business that we have control over and it means that we have identified those aspects of our business that have an impact on the environment and that we have a sustainable plan for continuous improvement.
